The Harrietsham Lawn Tennis Club was formed in 1924 and play has taken place on the same site throughout the summer months ever since. We are a friendly village tennis club, and we welcome new members, of all ages and standards. We have no ‘playing in’ policy as our aim is to provide a village amenity and we offer membership categories to suit all needs. The club prides itself on being open to a diverse range of abilities and has memberships available for individuals, families and students. The club is keen to embrace the local community, providing a friendly atmosphere for both sport and socialising.

We have three grass tennis courts, and hope to add an all-weather playing surface in the near future so we can offer all year round tennis. As we know, much of modern day tennis takes place on low maintenance hard courts throughout the year and often indoors which, in spite of premier events such as Wimbledon, has resulted in a decline of the grass court. Consequently, we feel it is very important to preserve this historical sporting facility which provides a very different tennis experience in a very social setting.

The season normally starts at the beginning of May, and lasts until the end of September, weather permitting of course.

Tuesday – From 6:30pm – Juniors, Adults & Family Groups

Normal Club play is available at all other times (please bear in mind that the courts must be mowed and lined on a weekly basis and this takes priority over play.)
