it Is Excellent in Craftsmanship. The Outside leather is polished and excellent. However, the inside is not polished leather. It’s rustic looking. It has a pencil holder inside, but not necessarily designed for a nice pen. The writing pad is has a good length and width, but it’s not very thick. Meaning not much paper for a journal. So, I was somewhat disappointed. I had My name engraved or I might have returned it. Nevertheless, It is made in Huntsville, Alabama, not China. So, I believe I will keep it in order to help a local American business.
