As we get older, we have a little trouble getting up on some things. This is true for our dogs as well. We have two adult dogs that are in really good health. One is a 3 year old Alaskan Malamute and the other is a 14 year old Chocolate Lab. Our Lab, sometimes, has a bit of a trouble getting up on our bed now. Now we have an adjustable bed and it makes it even hard her for her to jump right up. My wife has had a surgery that requires her to sleep in an upper body elevated state. We saw this and thought it would have her a little help climbing up on the bed. First off, I wasn’t clear about the reach extender at first, just because of the size of the box. But, once I got into it, I saw it was a memory foam core. Fantastic! It is rolled up very tight in plastic, so you have to a bit careful cutting the plastic. The directions say to let it lay out for 24 hours before putting the cover on the memory foam. I let lay out for a few yours and tried to put the cover on it. It was a bit of a challenge but I got it on. I thing I would have placed the cover on earlier if I had to do it again. It diffidently didn’t fit the cover at this point but I know it would. After about 36 hours, it was perfect. Nice and snug where our girl can jump right on it. On the bottom side, there are a bunch of little rubber knobs that keep it from sliding on the floor. It took a little work with her but she finally got the hang one it. So much easier for old girl to get on the bed. The kit comes with the memory foam inner part, the outer part, and a lent roller to clean the outer cover. It’s going to be great for her to get on the bed without help. She always sleeps with us, protecting her mama.
